If you look at the source which is only ~200 SLOCs, it's just written in vanilla js for the canvas and Websocket which receives a simple arrayBuffer binaryType.

I believe its written in node & socketio. Don't know what database though. Played it yesterday when it was originally posted on HN.

I'd attempt to tell you if the site would load but we know now that its sitting on a CloudFlare server.
